An active front and associated front brings the risk for Significant heavy rain across the West and North of the South Island. A special weather statement has been issued for the north and west of the South Island, please click here to be taken to our Special weather statement. A cooler showery S/SE flow spreads across the South Island later Wednesday and into Thursday with showers expected in the east.
